I don't know when I had the original idea. A shimmer of a memory, something long faded leads me to believe that it was during one rain soaked walk along the side of the Usk, the rotting dock jetty there being an influence on the aesthetic stance I'm taking, but, I cannot say for sure when "The Body" first stated to form. It was probably with an image, these things generally are.
My next major project, the one I'm focusing on and putting what feels like every available waking hour into, is "The Body", for which the web site has just launched.
And we've recently released a camera test/promotional trailer. I say camera test, because that's exactly what we set out to do. To push the Red Epic as far as possible, shooting a 5K image using no lighting expect for that of around 25 candles.
I'm writing a long piece of the actual making of the promo which will be published under the blog's on The Body. It'll have details on the pre-test, shooting and post side using Adobe Creative Suite 6.
A huge thanks to the crew who helped in achieving this vision;
The project was shot by Viv Mainwairing, in collaboration with Keefa Chan on camera. The Production Designer was Felicity Boylett. Co-Producer, 1st Assistant Director, Storyboarding and Colourist duties where taken up by Whitney Branning. The Costume and Mask design was by Joanna Lewis. Music composed by J. Andrews Jones of Incantus Meida. The actor is James Kimm. Not least forgetting the rest of the talented crew, Ian Smyth, Catherine Griffin and Sumer Tiwari. And finally, the overall Producer of The Body, Jan Odenthal, of Colunda Creatives.
The following images were taken by either Felicity Boylett, Joanna Lewis or Sumer Tiwari.
And so here's my latest, a little camera test, promo piece.
